LEGAL REGULATION AND FUNCTIONING OF NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES

In recent decades, there has been a tendency to increase the importance of non-governmental organizations, their activities are to ensure the development of society, the desire to conduct an open dialogue with the authorities, and resolve a number of major problems by providing socially significant services. That is why some jurists calling the current stage of development the «epoch of NGOs».
In the article, the authors reveal the concepts of «international non-governmental organization», «charitable organization», «third sector», etc. They also analyze the activities of non-governmental organizations in foreign countries, such as Germany, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Canada, etc. Understanding the legal status of non-governmental organizations provides clearer guidelines for the activity and legal personality of INGOs.
