What is the OSCE?

 
The OSCE stands for the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. With 57 States from Europe, Central Asia and North America, the OSCE is the world's largest regional security organization.
The OSCE Mission to Moldova engages in a range of activities designed to empower Moldovan youth to enhance their capacity and interest in engaging in national democratic processes.

We are looking for motivated students who would like to become diplomats for four days.
 

What is the Model OSCE?

 
The Model OSCE is a four-day event (provisional dates: 26-29 October 2017):
Day 1: Take part in team-building exercises led by an OSCE trainer and learn more about the OSCE from OSCE officials
Day 2 and 3: Receive essential negotiation skills training from an international OSCE expert
Day 4: Participate in the Model OSCE simulation game
 
The Model OSCE simulation game reproduces the OSCE Permanent Council during a crisis situation. Participants will each represent an OSCE participating State and will work together to resolve the crisis.
Three of the best students in the Model OSCE will be invited to attend an OSCE Permanent Council meeting in the OSCE Secretariat in Vienna.
 
The Model OSCE is free of charge. Accommodation, transportation and meals will be provided for the duration of the event.
All students who successfully complete the Model OSCE will be awarded a certificate issued by the OSCE Mission to Moldova.
 

Who can apply?

 
  •  Full-time University students in Balti, Chisinau, Taraclia and Tiraspol
  •  An interest in international affairs
  •  Background in Law, International Relations, Political Sciences or Journalism (or related subject)
